Magic Wings is a great place. I try to get there once a year. I'm always interested in the different lenses that people use. I've seen great shot from Point & Shots & crappy shots from high end SLRS. Thank goodness there’s something to like. I won’t be getting any awards for my writing.

The camera is a Sony DSC-S85. It’s about 3 – 4 years old with 4.1 mp and a Carl Zeiss, Vario – Sonnar lens. As you can see it does a pretty good job in macro mode, not bad for an old point and shoot digital camera.

The bad/good news is the Sony just died and I have to buy a new camera. This time I decided to get a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 with the 18x zoom. I’m moving up but still short of a SLR.
