Oh, I am so glad that I am not an innocent bug…. Brrrrr…. Don’t want that guy to eat me! Photos are fabulous!

All great pictures. I like seeing the cycle of life, as in the captured bee, but I think the last photo is my favorite.

I love the orange spider. I think the round abdomen means it’s an orb weaver, but I’m no spider expert. You can see the eyes. They are kinda spooky!

The web is so strong to catch a great size of bee. The shimmering silk looks so unreal, yet it is so real.

I really enjoy the close-ups of insects. And spider webs are one of the wonders of the natural world. Great photos.

After reading your last comment…all those scary giant spider movies from the 50s and 60s came to mind! Fantastic photos. gail

I know plenty of people who want my innards to be soup.

I’ve ben nearly walking into many a massive web these last few evenings. What are those big, bulbous spiders called who ut webs out preariously 6-8′ from the house at about eye level, barely anchored to some errant shrubbranch or grass blade? I just also found my first funnel spider of the season–neato. Almost stepped on that one. I am clumsy drunk.
