A Leopard Frog peaks out from his hiding spot.

I cropped the photo to make a new desktop wallpaper for myself.

A unidentified Dragonfly became the subject of another background image.

I’m too tired tonight to try and identify it. If you’ve got a clue, please leave a comment.

I switched back and forth a bunch of times between the two.
Correctly guess which one I finally settled on and you win a kiss.

Four-spotted Skimmer methinks (although it appears to have 8 spots).

Fantastic shots! The frog is certainly a good-looker but the dragonfly is beautiful. Sorry I can’t help with the identification … but that’s the one I would have chosen for wallpaper.

I know next to nothing about dragonflies, but I’ve learned a bit by your sending us off on this wild dragonfly chase. I’m sure this isn’t it, but it looks a bit like the calico pennant dragonfly.

    The frog is a cutie!

I like both of these little creatures. I have yet to catch up to a regular frog, but I’ve seen lots of toads now. The dragonfly is a good one. Last year I was getting pretty good at dragonfly identification, but over the winter I think I’ve misplaced that talent.

Then, I rather prefer to give you a wrong guess.

The frog makes it clear: Nothing is more beautiful, or more important, than nature.
