Thx for visiting my blog. I agree the Connecticut River Valley is a great place to unwind. The pics of your stone work are awesome! I am a novice but I love to work with stone as well. If you saw my blog entry about my garden you may have noticed the 30′ winding stream and pond I installed over the past year. I also hauled much of the stone myself in my trusty Hondas Civic! Some of us are just plain crazy! The tendonistis in my elbows is finally subsiding….. just in time for another garden project.

    cabs,
I have to laugh that you picked the looney post to reply but I’m happy you did - it was looking a bit lonely. I did see your stream bed - I’m even more impressed knowing you did it the ‘hard’ way. Novice maybe, but it looks better than some pro’s work. I love the bridge. I’m tempted to go out of my way again to visit your stream.

Hey, glad you “looney” rock garden folks connected. This is one blog I keep coming back too…not a gardener but there’s always good info that I might be able to use. Of course I have my bro to ask as well — got it made, don’t I?

Keep blogging Wiseacre, we love it!

    Bamapat,
I’ve probably driven past both your homes a number of times and never knew it.

If you want to join the Looney Rock Club I’ll drop off a BFR in your driveway this spring. In order to pass the initation all you need to do is move it off without calling someone with a back-hoe.

That boy is about as sharp as a bowling ball
Smart boy, got a mind like a steel trap…full of mice
That boy’s as strong as an ox and just about as smart
    ……Foghorn Leghorn

Anything that big that may need a back hoe to move does NOT need to find itself in my driveway. Thanks, but no thanks.

Now,Bro may like it tho???? Just kidding, he’s got lots of rocks/stones at his place. Hell, we cleared fields of rocks as kids — we know where to find’em!!

    Bamapat,
Well they do make a great surprise gift for the in-laws.
