For the last few weeks I have had up to 5 Luna moths on the outside of my house. They are huge. So I googled them and seems like they are hardly seen. I should mention it's almost 330 am. They are very cool.

I have a Luna Moth!!
So very cool to see up close...I took about 15 pics of he/she. Odd that it is on the bottom of my garage door in the afternoon. And here in the Midwest it is windy, chilly and sunny (for a change).

August 2,2010
Pulled up to a Dunkin Donuts this morning for a coffee. The man handed me my coffee through the window and asked if I ever saw a lunar moth before. I said I cant be sure since I dont know what they look like. Well there on the side of the window in broad daylight was an enormous beautiful green moth clinging to the building. It was definitely my first lunar experience. Came home to google them and this website popped up. Wish I had a camera. It was a Kodak moment to be sure.
