One Froggy Evening

Catching the last of the days warmth these frogs were not quite ready to jump into the water when I approached.  I was a bit surprised at how many frogs have moved into the garden pond since the Great Blue Heron made lunch out of the last residents.

Frogs

I had no problem moving around the pond to take photographs until my ‘protector’ arrived to see what had caught my interest.

Frogs

Looking eye to eye was OK but getting kissing close was out of the question.

The Frog photos are linked to a larger image (1024 x 768) suitable for a closer look or to use as Desktop Wallpaper. Pookey declined to pose for pin-up pics.

    What great pictures!

    mimmylynn,
Thanks. I have a couple more frog photos on the way.

I haven’t seen my three little “pond” froggies in a few days. I hope they aren’t planning to hibernate in there, as I will have to drain it for the winter in a few more weeks.

    Giddy,
I’ll be draining mine soon so my slimy friends don’t think they can crash there all winter. The pond is only inches deep and they end up being frozen in the ice. Best they move otherwise they become frogsicles.

It must be heaven listening to them sing .. I miss that dearly .. too many houses and too much noise and no water habitats in the neighborhood .. I’m very jealous. And Pookey is too shy ? I wouldn’t think that having you as her master ! haha

    Joy,
OH jeeze, all this time I thought heaven was filled with harp music. I’m converting to your religion.
