Random Comments and Salutations

   I’m a rank amateur. (can’t you just smell that first ‘post’ from here?) I’m still fiddling with the layout and look of this blog and I’m over my head most of the time. But the occasional flash of enlightenment brings me closer to the light each time.

 One thing I noticed while browsing Blogs was I couldn’t find anywhere to introduce myself or comment on how much I might have liked the blog without breaking into a post and making some random comment. They might have been there but for someone new to blogs I just didn’t see where I could. I didn’t want to go private and send e-mail. I wanted the world to know my opinion.

  Here is a place you can.

What!?

Leave your random thoughts, salutations, rants or just leave your mark.   You decide what to write and I decide what to delete  - can’t say now that I didn’t give you a chance.

    I know exactly what you mean about “introducing yourself” – sometimes I feel like I’m just barging into a private conversation when I comment on a new-to-me blog. I’m so glad you joined the conversation at Blithewold (it’s never a private conversation there – the more the merrier)! And I’m sorry you had to wait for your comment to show up but I get so much spamspamspam it’s beyond the fringe.

    You’re more than welcome to join in the comments on my blog anytime. I’m Carol, from May Dreams Gardens. I like what you wrote about the night before Christmas… very funny! I’ll be back!

    @Kris,
    Glad you stopped by and ordered from the menu. You can be sure I’ll be back to Blithewold. I’ll join the conversation if I have anything worth adding but I won’t leave Spam. I’m saving mine for lunch so I can have something with a little less rat in it.

    @Carol
    Nice to know I might have put a smile on someone’s face. I’ll be back to your site too. I’m still discovering places to visit and each day the rounds take a bit longer.

    Many blogs have About pages, where you can learn a bit more about the author and his or her website, but they often don’t allow comments on those pages. If you could comment there, that would be best, however bloggers love genuine comments and will take them on any post.

    Hi Wiseacre,
    I’m sure they will appreciate the toast with the “cold tea” as it would seem to play an important part in Morris dancing.

    I was pleased to see that the side kick Watkins mamaged to calm down the Shropshire slasher after Dorlock Homes failed.I have found a blog that has the same interests in Looney Tunes. Here is the link

    Don’t forget the “cold tea” and a happy New Year

    @Kathy
    I noticed that I couldn’t comment on “pages” and I’m still looking to see if I have a magic radio button to allow visitors to do so here. It doesn’t seem possible since I’ve already checked one on the write page section without the result I had hoped for.

    I guess I should leave more comments around. Even a short hello would let someone know that one more person had read the post.

    @Mark
    You got it. I’ll toast plenty and end up doing a “Morris” dance myself. It sure beats our “traditional” Dairy Princess Parade.

    And thanks for going out of your way to look up that Looney Blog. I’ll be visiting it and following Kathy’s advise. I’m sure he’ll appreciate a comment.
